Roll crushers refer to equipment that is designed for mechanical action on solid materials in order to separate them into smaller parts (destruction). Our company designs and manufactures roller crushers with a capacity of 1 to 20 t / h.

Roll crushers are widely used in various industries, for example, in mining and processing plants, in the production of building materials. Roll crushers are especially effective for crushing viscous and damp materials. Roll crushers are indispensable for secondary crushing cycles of hard rocks such as limestone, coal, ore materials.

The rollers crush the material by crushing it, pressing continuously and continuously on the pieces to be crushed. Crushing rolls consist of a welded frame and two cylindrical rolls of the same diameter. The rollers are located on horizontal axes and rotate in opposite directions relative to each other, that is, one towards the other.

The material coming from above falls on the rolls, is captured by them and, under the action of the friction force, passes into the slot between the rolls, thereby gradually crushing, and then ejected from the crusher in the form of small grains of a certain size. The fineness depends on the size of the gap between the two rolls.

In view of the fact that crushing by crushing rolls is carried out by conventional crushing without abrasion, and the gap between the rollers has a constant width through which grains of material with smaller dimensions than the gap itself can freely pass, the amount of fine-grained product is quite insignificant.

So that the rolls, when too large and hard pieces of material hit them, do not deform and break, one of the axes is fixed motionless, and the other is in movable bearings. When a large piece of material hits, the movable axis is moved back a distance sufficient for the passage of this piece, after which it approaches the fixed axis using a special spring. The springs of the crushing rolls can create pressures up to 5000 kgf / cm2.

For crushing the loaded material by rolls, it is necessary that the pieces are pulled into the gap between the rolls rotating towards each other. Pulling of pieces of materials into the slot directly depends on the angle of nip of the rolls, that is, the angle between the points of contact of the material with the surface of the crushing rolls.

The value of the nip angle directly depends on the size of the pieces, the diameter of the rolls and the coefficient of friction of the material. The nip angle of the rolls, as in the jaw crushers discussed above, should not exceed a double angle of friction, that is, be more than 34 degrees.

With an increase in the diameter of the rolls and the distance between them, as well as with a decrease in the size of pieces of material, the angle of capture becomes smaller.

The main working bodies of a roll crusher are two rolls rotating in opposite directions relative to each other, which can be equipped with cams or teeth. Large pieces of material fed from above are captured by the cams and, passing between them, are crushed. At a lower number of revolutions, crushing occurs mainly due to compression and friction, while at a higher number of revolutions, crushing is carried out mainly due to shock loads.

Due to the fact that one of the crusher rolls is installed with the possibility of displacement, it is possible to change the width of the gap between the rolls, which makes it possible to change the grain size of the final product. The gap width is adjustable from 1 to 20mm.
