Conical corrugated silos
The silo is a cylindrical metal container made of a thin sheet shell, reinforced with a frame made of vertical posts, resting on a concrete base. Above the silo is covered with a conical roof.
In grain silos with a hopper bottom, grain can be stored for a short time or for a long time. Silos are used as part of seed lines and in compound feed production.
Purpose of silos:
receiving grain;
grain storage and temperature control;
multiple unloading and loading of grain;
preservation of grain from rodents and birds, as well as from precipitation.

The roof has a rafter structure and is covered with metal sheets 1.5-3 mm thick. Moisture does not penetrate into the silo due to vulcanization with a special mass. Also, bolts with sealing gaskets are used for fastening structural elements.
The grain in the silo needs regular ventilation. For ventilation of grain, external fans are provided, which supply 8 m3 air per hour per ton of grain. Air passes through the grain, ventilates it and is drawn out by means of a turbofan and ventilators (deflectors) installed on the silo roof.
Grain silos are equipped with:
